A complete transformation of the living areas plus an addition. The circulation was smoothed out in the existing house plus the private/public areas are redefined and zoned more appropriately. Several new realms were created such as a private office/reflection space. The west end of the house was added on to as a large room with smaller more intimate spaces defined within it, but it can function as one large room when needed. In this space there is passive solar gain and plants plus a daybed for naps and a balcony to the private office. The furniture group sits in the middle of the space and can address all the features including the wood stove. A covered entry means not having to run through the rain from the driveway.
